how can make my number private? is their an app in the android market for that!?

I have a Motorola Drod and would like to know if there is an app that can makebmy number show up as private. I know their is a star code for it to but I don't wanna deal with the hassel of setting it and un-setting it to bad the Droid doesn't have this feature I know that the G1 does have the ability to set your number up as private so if their is an app I would gladly appreciate it thanks
 
private number can't be applied from the user terminal end
because sending your number is something done by the provider network
and if you stopped sending your number , the provider would ignore your requests
the best way to do it is to request it from your provider
 
Generally, you can call your service provider and ask to make your number private. I'm looking at my G1 now, and You can make your number private from the phone itself.

The way I did it on the G1 was Settings>Call Settings>GSM call settings>Caller ID. If you can incorporate that into the Droid, good luck to you. If not, like stated earlier, Try calling up your service provider and asking for them to do it on their end.
