How can you claim that Christianity stole Christmas from other religions?

First of all, it's called Christmas. Notice the word Christ in there? The technical meaning is Christ's Mass.

Second of all, since Christianity was the first religion, obviously the other ones were who stole from us. (Except Jews, of course, which is basically like proto-Christianity. I guess you could say that Christmas is like an updated Hanakkah.)

Bonus Question: What's your favorite Christmas song?

first of all , the word '' christian'' back then was an insult for your info.
second, why do people claim Christmas is pagan origins? hmm i don't know maybe because Dec 25th is the Sun-God day ? or hmm maybe because mithra tried to be Jesus thousand years before christ came to exsistance , mithra the pagan god who died for the sins of the world and raise on the third day
or maybe because Serapis Christus is the image for Jesus Christ.
i don't know why ppl think christianity stole christmas ....

his name is Isa ibn maryam not Jesus
look it up

jewish was not first.

it was first according to the white men that wrote history.

all cultures had their ancient religions, but it wasnt until the white conquistadores took their lands and killed their cultures that christianity became the most common.

You need to study other religions if you think Christianity was the first religion. Pagan tradition were used along with the so called birth of Christ. ( even though he wasn't born then, weird )

"Christianity was the first religion.. " Really?

1. Ramses II, Amon-Ra, and Nut.
2. Horus, Osiris, and Isis.
3. moon god, Lord of the Heavens, and sun god.
4. Ishtar, Sin, and Shamash.
5. Buddhist triune of transformation body, enjoyment body, and truth
body.
6. The Hindu triad of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. (Trimurti)
7. The Brahmas also have their trinity. In their trinity, Vajrapani, Manjusri, and
Avalokitesvara.
8. China and Japan also worship Buddha, but they know him as “Fo.” When
they worship him they say “Fo, is one god but has three forms.”
9. The ancient Egyptians also worshipped a trinity. Their symbol of a wing, a globe, and a
serpent is supposed to have stood for the different attributes of their god

Hinduism was created 2,000 years before Abraham tried to kill his son.

Mankind first came about at least 140,000 years before Adam and Eve got booted out of Eden. No doubt one of them thought of a religion.

Call Saturnalia and Yule whatever you want, but it doesn't make it Christian.

Christianity was not the first religion there were thousands before it. The reason Christmas is celebrated in December/ Winter is because Christians attempted to convert Pagans and The Winter Solstice is a Pagan holiday to keep things similar for Pagans and help convince them to convert they chose december to celebrate the birth of christ

First, Jesus's birthday is actually thought to be in July, not December.....Second, Christmas has evolved other the years and has been sucked up by retailers. There were holidays in Roman that fell in December before Jesus was born. In order to convert people, early church leaders took many existing pagan holidays and infused Christianity into them. Why? People like to celebrate and early clergy understood this.
