My DVD recorder has a selectable "mode" for recording. Standard Play (SP) records for 120 minutes. Long Play (LP) records for 240 minutes. And Extended Play (EP) records for 360 minutes. There is a 4th setting, XP, which records for 70 minutes from the HD inputs only and is the highest quality. Read the docs for YOUR device. I'll bet there is a way for you to change the settings. The price you will pay is in lower quality to allow for longer time.
