How come the touchscreen is the only thing working on the htc (tilt)?

yesterday my phone was working perfectly fine. but then all my buttons and my key board wasnt working.
and still isnt.
i can still send/recieve messages and calls.
i can use the touchscreen.
but my buttons and keyboard just wont work?
any ideas? or where i can find where to fix it?
