how come when my wife squirts it's thick and not more like water?

whenever my wife and i have sex she has no problem coming and often squirts, but when she does it happens to come out thick and gooey instead of watery. it doesn't bother us but we were just wondering why it would be like that.

The thickness of her mucus depends on her cycle. If it's ALL the time I would get it checked out. Could be a yeast or abnormal bacteria.
