Internet forums are known for people to go and make fun of people. There are a lot of people in the world that want to make fun and hurt others but usually don't have the balls to do it in their everyday life. So on the internet with a "fake" profile they can say anything they want with virtually no consequences. There are always going to be negative people its just something you have to get used to.
If your looking for a truly supportive forum try looking for one that you have to pay for ( no one messes around with something that is worth money), or look for a forum where you can ask your question, weed out the negative people, and find the positive people that will help you
