How did Jesus Christ plays the role of salvation by merely being crucified?

as far as my intellectual knowledge is concerned, jesus christ IS NOT THE ONE who said,"hey pontius pilate, crucifix me, because I'm the one who will save the world!!"..he was sentenced by the pontius pilate to be crucifix and suffer...

I'm not against any religion, I'm a Catholic and I believe in God,.. the only question in my head is that, HOW COULD CRUCIFIXION SAVE THE WORLD?
 
Thee truth is? Jesus = God thee creator,,, enjoyed watching these Greek & Roman gladiators constantly without ceasing fighting to the death for his holy amusement. Not to mention the countless slaves who were viciously put to death in some most amusing ways.

Yes, all this insanity continued on for thousands of years until God came up with a surefire plan, the ultimate spectacle one that would enslave a multitude of worshipers for all-time. Thus providing even more earthly entertainment for all the heavenly hosts. This was something Jesus could not resist, he had to participate in the fun so after millions met their fate amusing God this so-called messiah became a living sacrifice for man's so-called sins....

& the intergalactic Nelson ratings peaked overnight, and God was well pleased...
 
God is in control and things do happen and will continue to happen to fulfill prophecy and according to the will of God. God loved us so much, that He offered His Son, Jesus to be the perfect sacrifice (sinless) in order to cleanse us. A debt had to be paid for sin..mankind is imperfect and fall short of the glory of God....so God sent Jesus (perfect) to pay OUR debt. When Jesus was grossly tortured, humiliated, nailed to the cross and died and you use the word "merely"? THEN, Jesus descended to hell for 3 days. Sin separated mankind from God..Jesus is the bridge that reconciled us back to God. Pilate was used, so to speak, to fulfill prophecy...IT IS God who IS in control.
 
It takes one to be holy, sinless, flawless to negate sin, imperfection, and disobedience. Only God is holy and could do such a thing but God can't die. Jesus was in the form of God as He was with and part of God the Father in heaven. And, He was also human in that He was born of a woman, had feelings just like we do (felt pain, got tired, had to eat i/e was human) and could die. In this manner Jesus was God and man all rolled up into one. To denounce Jesus would also denounce the miracles he did like, walking on water, turning water into wine, feeding thousands with almost no resources, heal the deceased and sick by just touching them and He-Himself dieing but coming back to life. Jesus was prophesied of in the Old Testament and came to fruition in His birth=the New Testament.
Merely because He was crucified? MERELY? Read about crucifixion. It was the most painful, long lasting. shameful, inhumane torturous death at that time.
But, as a man Jesus could and did die. As God, Jesus could accept into His holy body the sins of all people for all time and forgive/negate them. That is exactly what He did. Then, Jesus rose from the dead, was seen by many people, and arose back to heaven. Our sins could now be erased and make us worthy and able to go to heaven. It takes acceptance, love, belief, and faith in God=Jesus to receive this. Read John 3:16 and Ephesians 2:5-10. to see what I mean. This is part of the reason that Christians believe as they do.
 
Pontius Pilate asked Jesus plainly, are you King of the Jews. Jesus could have denied and ended it there but He didn't. Remember in the Old Testament that sacrifice has always been required for redemption of sins. Even when Abraham was asked to sacrifice Isaac God was giving us a picture of our salvation. When Jesus hung on that cross, He BECAME sin. Everyone's sin. He became greed, lust, murder, rape, etc. He took all of the punishment for all of us. We could not save ourselves.

The only way to every reach atonement for sins has been a blood sacrifice. But, before Christ, those sacrifices had to keep being repeated because people kept sinning. Jesus, the perfect, spotless, sinless Lamb of God, He was the only sacrifice great enough to cover all sins for all time. He was God Himself, dying for us. How could it not save the world?

When our Creators with Jesus and the other prophets return to earth have you ever considered what the reaction on earth will be? Yep. We will think they are invaders.

It was necessary for Jesus to die in order for the truth to be known throughout the world so that when they return they will not be taken as invaders.
 
Crucifixion isn't what saved the world, that was just the way Jesus would die. When Jesus took the sin of man upon Himself, and died in our place, going to hell for 3 days and nights ( Matthew 12:39-40 ); that is what redeemed us. Jesus committed no sin, but became sin for us; and we committed no righteousness, but became the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ ( 2 Corinthians 5:21 ). Jesus chose to accept our sin in the garden of Gethsemane, and then took it to the cross, and died with it. Now salvation is available to all mankind, and it comes down to individual choices. Only after death will our choice be made known.
