How did you get introduced to BJJ or MMA?

I just love watching people get in the octagon and pound each other black and blue. I think it's awesome to fight in a controlled setting and the amount of talent and dedication that these fighters put into each fight blows me away. If you are in some form of MMA, never give up. You just might be the next Bj Penn.

I was inspired after UFC 81. Mir was getting his ass beat so bad and then out of nowhere managed to submit Brock.

Then I learned about Nogueira , and the Gracies

Then I decided this is an art I wanna study

Just curious. Here's how I was. I used to be into swimming till 2005. At the time I was in school as a foreign student. Soon it was getting boring and I got into Karate. It was fun but after about a year I felt like I wasn't getting a good workout. Around 6 month into karate I started watching UFC. So I switched karate style to a one that was supposed to be harder. After about 6 more month of that. I started going to an MMA gym and it was a good workout. But it was too far away from my home and I couldn't drive. It was a small town in Canada so there weren't many buses. Anyway, soon I stopped both MMA and karate and went back to swimming. Then I moved to Toronto and after about a month I joined another gym. So here I am two years into my BJJ training.

Now I just focus on wrestling and sub wrestling.

i use to do traditional kung fu and san shou then one day a bjj school opened up i went to check it out the let me try the first class free and i got hooked.
