I know you need to run 1 1/2 miles in 12/13 minutes for a girl but for someone who isn't Used of running how difficult is it in reality??

Is there any other requirements for the British Army for a girl besides sit ups?? And are they essential???

Thanks xx

if ur in bad shape cardio wise ur going to have a tough time catching up. but the pt requirements arnt horrible

In the US Army you have to run 2 miles, do sit ups and push ups. I am not sure exaclty what the requirements for girls is but you can google them and find out what they are.

I dont recommend taking the fitness exam if your not fit for it. What I mean is, if your not used to running, or doing any exercise no matter how skinny or how great your metabolism is, your going to fail it.

the fitness tests are quite easy if you have prepared adequately for them,50 sit ups is easy with minimal training these are essential fail them and you will be on the train back home.

according to the british armys website females must complete 21 press-ups in two minutes. Both male and female candidates must complete 50 sit-ups in two minutes. Females have to complete the shuttle run (comparable to a 1.5 mile run ) in 13 minutes. For the obstacle course you must clear as many obstacles as possible within three minutes.

If you keep trying to improve your performance every day, the PT test shouldn't be that hard to pass
