Sorry this is probably very unclear

I have a burned DVD of a concert that my friend filmed. When I put the DVD into my mac, it automatically plays but the folder contains files: video_ts.bup video_ts.ifo video_ts.vob vts_01.0BUP etc... so I can't just copy and drag the files to my desktop because my mac doesn't recognize these files as a movie.

Use HandBreak http://handbrake.fr/

Really, because its a home dvd, you can copy the vid_ts folder and play the vid_ts with VLC http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ because its not a store bought encrypted dvd.

just try copying the files which are of extention .VOB (example:- video.VOB), because they are the ones which plays the video....

or else try a software called dvdripper for mac.........its used for copying dvd's on pc...........there are many on windows, i am not sure for mac........but dont worry u will find any software for copying dvd's ......just google it.........try search for "dvdripper for mac"..........

good luck
