How do Gameboy Advanced games play on Nintendo DS?

I'm thinking of getting the Monkey Ball game for my daughter, who has a DS that is compatible with GA games. I've been debating between getting the Super Monkey Ball for DS or the Monkey Ball Junior from GA. If I get the GA version, will it play on the DS in the same way it plays on the GA? Or is there a difference in the way it looks and plays? Anyone tried both and have an opinion on which one to get?
 
There is quite likely a difference. Due to that the DS gamepack can hold more date (in the high 32 GB range) It can support better graphics using the DS to its full potential while compared to the GBA version it cannot use touch screen or the second screen. Also, less graphics due to a lower resolution and data storage.
