I just bought a tv show box set. It's in a foreign language, but it comes with english subtitles. But my friend wants to watch the drama in French, and she can't find any other dvds selling with french subtitles or find it online.
so i want to know how to add a new set of subtitles to a dvd. I can't find a subtitle file of the drama because it's in japanese, and i doubt there is one in french. so i'm willing to take the time and edit the subtitles myself.

Also, once i rip the dvd, can i burn it back to the same disk? or do i need to burn it on a new disk?
