How do i add songs to a Sony Walkman NWZ-A816?

Hi, i bought this Sony Walkman NWZ-A816 from a frind that was "found", and now I'm trying to add some songs on it, but can't because when i pulg it to my pc through an usb, the proper window doesn't pop up asking me how i would like to open the unit's library, neither does that appear in "My Computer",
please help, thank you.
