How do I cancel my Verizon Wireless contract without paying a fee?

I have a family plan with 1400 minutes and data packages. We have 2 lines total and it's just WAY too much money. We honestly can't afford to pay that much each month and downgrading the plan is not an option. We're planning on going to Boost mobile.

The termination fee right now is $220.00 for the main line and $110.00 for the secondary. We do not have the money to pay that right now.

You signed a 'contract' and will not be able to terminate it without paying the penalty. You can try to find a sympathetic employee and cry 'financial hardship' but doubtful that will be successful. You are kinda stuck with the contract.
