how do i change windows 7 ultimate back to windows 7 home premium?

My teenage son decided to update my windows 7 home premium to windows ultimate. Now every time i turn on my computer, it tells me that i'm using an illegal copy of windows 7 ultimate. Can anyone help me change the system back to windows 7 home premium which was what came with the computer.
 
You need to reformat your computer or reinstall premium using the original disk
 
if you have the original OS cd that came with your computer you can do a re install of it. just dont choose clean install or you will lose your data unless you back it up first.
