how do i connect my bluetooth headset (o2 karuna) to my mobile (HTC Hero)?

i turn on my headset but when i search for it on my phone nothing turns up???
 
try searching with your phone before you turn on your headset. or if you have another bluetooth phone available(a friends maybe), try searching for the other phone, if it finds it the problem is the headset.
