How do i convert a file from adobe reader to a Jpeg format?

I have scanned a document on the pc of my work place, however the document was automatically converted into adobe reader and i want to convert it into Jpeg or pdf or GIF or BMP or Doc. However i cant find the option to convert into those files on this computer. Do i have to download anything in order to do it?

Somebody help please.
I need to get editable text
 
You can use Photoshop to change the format but your scanner should have setting to specify what file type the scan needs to be in upon completion. Try contacting the support team for the scanner manufacturer.
