I have a Yamaha HTR-5930 receiver with all the speakers still working but the subwoofer recently was blown. It was the SW-P270 with a "dynamic power" of 100W. I'm wondering what kind i should be looking for. i found a sony 150W powered sub online that seemed pretty good, but i don't know much about whether my receiver can handle a bigger one or not. The old sub plugged into an outlet in the wall and just had a little cord that connected it to the receiver so i dont even know if the receiver has anything to do with powering the sub. PLEASE HELP OUT!! Thanks

I have a Klipsch 12 Synergy sub. With the down firing and it is awsome it makes my other speakers come to life. You could go with the 12 or they make a 10 inch sub. Here's a link on the review of the Klipsch 12 http://reviews.cnet.com/subwoofers/klipsch-synergy-sub-12/4505-11312_7-31655941.html
