How do i downgrade an ipod touch from 4.1 iOS to 4.0 iOS?

I have and ipod touch 2G MC and i wanted to downgrade it from iOS 4.1 to iOS 4.0, is this possible if the ipod has never been jail broken?
or is there a way to jail break the 2G MC for the iOS 4.1 ?

MC, I can't remember if that is the pain in the @$$ to jailbreak or not.

But either way, I think a new exploit was found for 4.1, so you're in luck.
Once you jailbreak you can always downgrade your firmware so long as you back up your key in cydia.
