How do i enable bluetooth on laptop?

I have a toshiba laptop that is bluetooth ready but when i click on bluetooth settings and click add new connection (for my phone) it says " bluetooth is not ready". What should i do?

im not sure of the cure for your laptop...but if you go to...Start...Help..then type connecting a bluetooth device im sure you can do it, also always use the passcode as '0' a single zero.Good luck and for any more help then please feel free to contact me [email protected] :-}

i had the same problem too.
with the bluetooth.
it still wont work
how did you fixx yourss

Lol stupid child.
I jus did a google search for my user name and this came up, well if you must know all i had to do was turn the wifi switch on looool. Good times ^_^
Also, you are stupid.

Cheers dan lol, all i had to do in the end was switch on the wifi , this was years ago though , dunno why I decided to reply now . using a dell m4400 currently, back then it was a 512 mb ram toshiba techra m something (m9 i think). Ruddy good laptop lasted 6 years before i broke it with torrents.
