How do I erase files off a recordable DVD?

I burned this movie onto to a recordable DVD. Before, I burnt it, I found this option that said "TV Aspect Ratio". The options on it were standard TV (4:3) or Widescreen (16:9). I thought the widescreen option would be better, so I set it to that. Everywhere I watched the movie, the picture is kind of blurry, except on small screens. So I think that the standard TV option would of been a better choice. I want to delete the movie and burn it again to the standard option. How do I delete this movie off of a recordable DVD?

I would have used a DVD rewritable but I only had one blank recordable DVD.

If it is not a DVD-RW, it cannot be erased. If it is an RW that is not a live filing system, you must format the disk which erases everything. If it is a live filing system on the DVD-RW, you may put it in a pc that has the same operating system (sometimes others OS will recognize them as well), and delete individual files and folders.
