How do I get my product picked up by a retail store (i.e. Babies R Us or Target)?

I make baby carriers which are not sold in retail stores such as the ones I have listed above. I would love to get my product noticed and picked up by these stores. How do I go about it?
 
There's a regional or national buyer for both these chains. Phone or contact the home office of either and ask to speak to the buyer. They'll give you the person's phone number and you make what's essentially a 'sales call'. Be aware that they don't just buy for one store, any supplier they deal with has to be able to supply their stores nationwide.
