how do i get stuff from itunes on one computer on to my ipad ?

hi i brought a 40 song albumb and a film on my ipad then ithey would not download ??? so i logo on to itunes on my home computet and finished off the download there but they did not go on to my ipad i then tried to syinc them and consquently every song pic ect is now on my home computer not my ipda =(( im verry stressed can any one help ?
