I have a kicker L5 connected to a VFL-100.1 American Bass amp with a capacitor hooked up in my car now. Ive been having some issues with the battery being drained so i was thinking about installing a second battery to feed the amp. My question is what i should do with the capacitor? Should I leave it connected to my main battery and just feed another power cable from the second battery to it? Please let me any suggestions on how i should set this up.
Thanks

Can you provide more details on the problem you're having with your existing system? If you're mostly listening while driving, and the alternator isn't keeping the battery charged, then adding another battery will make the problem worse, not better. A second battery is mostly useful for extending the playing time with the engine off, allowing you to keep the primary battery charged so it can start the engine. Once the engine's running, though, the second battery is just another load on the alternator.
