how do i install a car amplifier on a stock car stereo?

i want to install an amplifier on a ford taurus but i want to keep the stock stereo

you will need a line level adapter. The adapter should run off your speaker wire. The other option is if you have ford "premium sound" system the have an amp built in and the make a special adapter for this. try a web search for this or try www.the12volt.com
