how do i load music/video/photos on to a PSP 3000?

No program needed, although they are available on www.download.com
Just plug in your PSP with the USB cord, and go to USB mode on the far left in your PSP, if it doesnt automatically do it. Then your computer should pop up as recognizing the PSP in the bottom right. If not, go to My Computer and you should see your PSP in there. From there drag and drop the items you want to the PSP memory stick duo that you have in it. If you dont have a memory stick, you will have to get one.

You can either do it yourself through windows or use Sony's Media Center program.

Sony Method:

Install the software. It's pretty easy. Follow the installation instructions. On the left should be your PSP once you connect it via USB. Put the music you want on your PSP, the program will convert it for you. The program will also convert any videos for you (beware of video with subtitles).

Windows Method:
When you connect the PSP via USB to your PC a box should open. At the bottom it will say Open Folder to View Files. Click that and hit OK.

A new box will open. It should have a few folders in it already. If there is not already a MUSIC folder (all CAPS), make one. If there is not already a VIDEO folder, make one. Same thing for PICTURE.

Once you make those folders, or if they're already there, just drag and drop the music you want in the MUSIC folder. It will be more organized on your PSP if you but them in individual folders. MP3 format is your easiest/best bet.

Videos may need to be converted before being able to be played on a PSP. Google what video formats are compatible with the PSP so you know if your videos will play. Put all videos you want in the VIDEO folder. If you go into your VIDEO section and there is nothing there, they're not compatible.

All pictures should show up fine, but be resized to fit the screen.

I'm telling you all this hoping you have some kind of skill with computers. A memory stick that's a decent size (1GB or more) would be best as well. The PSP HAS NO INTERNAL MEMORY. You must have a Memory Stick Pro Duo.
