How do I make Media Player 11 play offline without Internet Explorer

going offline too? How can I surf the internet and listen to my music WITHOUT windows media 11 getting online. It just makes me mad that I can't click on "work offline" in media player and it NOT cut me off on the internet too. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm using XP and media player 11. Thanks
