A friend of mine sets their gmail chat status so that it changes depending on who reads it. For example: "Hey (insertReader'sUsernameHere) how's it going? I'm away from my computer now."
That's odd, I've seen people do it (at least two, it changed when I logged in to a different account.) The only thing I can think of is maybe they are doing it through their aol chat client connected to gmail?
