How do I persuade my parents to let me by myself an Itouch 5?

I've been waiting 4 years to get an Itouch but my mom won't let me even buy myself one. She thinks "It will become a part of my life and I will depend on it for everything." That isn't true. I'm responsible and I won't go on it all the time. I tell her this but she won't let me get one. How can I persuade her to let me get myself one as soon as possible? Please! I really want this.
 
Get an iPhone 5 man it's better and you can persuade her by saying everyone is going to have a smart phone in the next 5 years anyways. I said that and it worked
