I was downloading a torrent to my USB, and something went haywire for a second and the torrent lost track of where the USB was and it was already a GB into the download. I was downloading another torrent at the same time to the same location as well.

For the second one, I was able to just tell the torrent to Recheck, and it continued to download.

For the first one however, I had told it "Start Downloading" before the USB had resettled, so it restarted the download from 0. Now if I try to tell it to Recheck, it just rechecks for the new file it just started.

How do I connect the torrent back to original file it was downloading that is already 1GB in?

Are you using utorrent? If so then you can right click on the torrent and select "set download location" and make sure that it is set to where the file is. If that doesn't work then you can delete the torrent and reload it and set the download location there.

Happy downloading, and don't forget to seed!
