How do I reinstall apps that i deleted to my iPhone? (Syncing isnt working)?

My apps werent opening so I was told to delete them then re-sync it from iTunes where they were already backed up.

...needless to say now they dont re-install, it syncs... I can select what I want to sync but the apps arent on my phone once its all done syncing...
