how do i reset the digital odometer on a 2007 mazda 6? i just replaced the engine
 
You can not reset the odometer on a car. There is a reason they made the odometer digitally computer controlled. It is a felony to change the mileage on a cars odometer. If you want to keep track of the new engine's mileage, you should record the date, the mileage of the vehicle, along with all of your vehicle maintenance records.
 
It is against the law to reset your odometer. Just because you replaced the engine doesn't mean it goes back to 0 as the rest of your car is a 2007. This is a very large fine for messing with the odometer.
and most of them now are tamper resistent.
