how do i retrieve pictures once the software has been installed?

i have been trying to get my pics from my Phone al day, i have downloaded software of all kinds and still am unable to retrieve my pictures. i think that i have one program that works but now i Just do not know how to get o it. my Phone is a razr vr3.
