how do I secure my wireless internet?

Yeah I know others have asked this question but know one is actually telling you HOW and WHERE to go to secure it. Some just tried to access my wireless internet and tried to steal credit card and other banking information, according to my computer, abt an hour ago. So can some plz help me out here?
 
You click start<Run<type in cmd
press enter
Now you got a black box. type in ipconfig /all. Press enter
Then what your going to do is look for your Default Gate way address. Its going to look somethin like 192.168.2.2 or something like that. Then you open your browser and put that number in your browser. After that you find security tab and click on it to setup your password.
