how do i set BitTorrent as my default torrent downloader?

ive set it several times as my default, but every so often LimeWire resumes as the default downloader. i uninstalled LimeWire, but even so the site im downloading the torrent from doesn't ask me if i want to use BitTorrent. i know i can save the torrent and then open it through BitTorrent, but id like to set it as the default so i don't have to go through that every time. what do i do?
 
folow the steps depending on your browser...

ok for finefox:
go to tools/ applications (set bitorrent as defoult for torrents)

for internet explorer:
go to tools/internet options/ programs/(under internet programs) set programs/associate a file type or protocol with a program/(associate torrent with bitorrent)

ps: if you are runing vista or win 7, you have to press the alt key to see the tools option on iternet explorer.
