how do i stock my iPhone from 'Backing up' everytime i plug it in?

It backs up everything on the iPhone onto itunes everytime i plug it in to sync just 1 song from itunes to the iPhone. Its really annoying me as it takes ages in what should be a few seconds!

If you recently updated to 2.0, that's been happening to me too. I haven't synced in a while just so I don't have to put up with that since I found no solution. Just wait it out and hopefully a future update like 2.1 will fix this. (or it may be the new iTunes, who knows!)
