How do i turn off java script email function on my mobile phone?

Help, i activated java emails on my new samsung jet but now i'd like to turn it off (the constant alerts through the night were driving me mad!) I've been into the email setting to deactivate the account but im STILL getting java alerts!!!
How do i turn it off?
