How do I zoom in on the Samsung Wave S8500 web browser?

I've just purchased a Samsung Wave after reading the specification and reviews. I found out that you can zoom in on the Internet (Pinch and Zoom). When I tried to do this, I didn't have any luck. I also tried tapping the screen but only got several icons at the bottom of the screen.
If anyone can provide an answer I would be grateful.
