etc.? I am Filipina, Chinese, and Black, look mostly fairer skinned Filipino, am an American, and I make mostly house, disco house, and trip-hop styles of music. Are there any native Nihonjin or people in the industry who have lived in Japan that can tell me how my career would fare there (assuming that my music is good)?

i'm not a native japanese or have a music related career but i listen to japanese songs a lot and know some singers...such as Yuna ito and crystal kay, melody.who are mixed female musicians... if you read from wiki , crystal kay has a of total sales (album and single) of 2.5 million in Japan and reached #1 on the Oricon charts. i think reaching 1st in oricon charts is quite good...
