How do you copy files from DVD into a hardrive?

I am borrowing a DVD from my friend (Moulin Rouge) and I want to get the Movie off it. How do I do this. I tried Copying and Pasting and it says you can't. Please Help ASAP
 
If your trying to copy a movie you will need "dvd decrypter'(free) and then "dvd shrink 3.2"(also free) google or bing should find several download sites if you just want movie to watch from hd you only need decypter.
 
you should be able to just drag & drop all the files across into a new folder on the hard drive.
