How do you get your microphone for Jaybird SB2 Bluetooth Headphone to work?

Couple month ago I ordered the Jaybird SB2 Bluetooth Headphone. I love it its a great headphone, the sound quality is great and etc. But there was one thing. And that is how do you get the microphone to work. I researched and it said to push the pause and play button for 2 sec. I kept trying that but it never worked. I really want to be able to use the microphone. There is this one app on the Ipod Touch that requires a microphone so I really want to be able to use that microphone.

Please if you have any suggestions of what is wrong or any solution please tell me.
