Nah but seriously, pickups don't tend to wear out over time, so unless you've been smashing your guitar around, it wouldn't be your pickups. Try getting a new set of strings if you haven't in a month or so.

Depends what guitar you have. The trust rod may have started bending the neck from dehumidification. hold your pick with your index finger on the back curved at a 90 degree angle and press with your thumb. Also play with the little knobs on the side and make sure they work with your amp. If your pick ups are wrong than you can replace them cheaply. The best website is www.samash.com.
