How do you tell your toxic friend to take a hike without sounding really bitchy?

I realized about a month ago that the person who I thought was my best, and closest friend was completely toxic. She went from being someone totally loyal and trustworthy to overly competitive, pushy, and dishonest. I truly think that she used me to get ahead and I don't want to be associated with her anymore.

We have mutual friends, so I don't want them to choose sides or have her running to them and make them take her side. I tried being the "bigger person" and stay being her friend, but she literally pushed me aside like a sack of potatoes. I don't want this stress that she gives me around for my senior year or be second fiddle to her anymore.

Please help me out!
If it helps you understand the situation more, we are both dancers.
Just like on the television show Dance Moms, she is the Maddie and I am the Chloe.
