How does the T-mobile my touch compare to the Sony Ericsson T707?

My old phone died and I don't want to spend too much for a new one. Those would be the same price because I'm due for a new phone. I've never had a touch screen before. And all I use my phone is for calling and texting. No e-mail or web. Just curious...
