I don't think having sex has anything to do with religion. Oh, in some religions (Catholic) it does, but IMO, it shouldn't. Are you ready to have sex? Are you ready to deal with the consequences of having sex? Are you prepared to get medical treatment if you should get an STD? Because just because someone says he/she's a virgin, doesn't mean it's true. Are you ready to deal with the implications of an unplanned (and possibly unwanted) pregnancy? Are you emotionally mature enough to deal with the emotional ties that sex has? Are you emotionally mature enough to deal with the breakup with this guy you've had sex with? If the answer to any of these questions is "no," or "I don't know," then you're not ready to have sex. And that doesn't matter if you're Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist or atheist.
