How has religion benefited the world and do you think it has benefited the world

Religion has never eradicated diseases, develped vaccines, averted famines, lit up the night, created worldwide instant communication, and many more things.

Science has never filled a longing for meaning that most people have.

Overall as a benefit science wins in a landslide, but the two institutions do not have the same goal so the comparison is not really a valid one.
 
Religion has benefited more to the world than science..
Today the laws we follow of our government..etc.. are all influenced by religion..

Islam has good background..which contributed a lot to science.and Mathematics.. Algebra.., etc..and many other medical.. sciences.. to architecture.. etc..

Though people may deny it..but it has contributed a lot..

Educate your HIstory.. my friends.. as i have educated myself..about my own arguments..
