I've been waiting relentlessly on a short sale offer acceptance from Countrywide. It's been a little over three months, they ordered the BPO first week of February. Last week.. the foreclosure dept. of Countrywide had the house set to go to auction, but the listing agent called the negotiator and Countrywide had it removed. That tells me Countrywide would prefer to go through with the short sale than a foreclosure. My REA tells me it's not long after they order the BPO that they are ready to look at the offers, but what is your opinion? Any experience with this?
