how long before i introduce my new rat in to the big cage with my first rat?

i just got a new rat ( marley) i got him home today and let him and bb my first rat run a round in the little cage and on my knee for a bit they got on pretty well but just to make sure i want to know how much more introduction i should give them to each over before putting them both in the same big cage

You should wait at least a day and go through all thees steps at least once for like ten minutes
put them in a place that your first rat doesn't go that is not the new ones cage.
if there is no aggression put them in a place where your first rat normally plays
still no aggression then put them in the cage that is not there own to get them used to the smell of the other rat if there is no aggression during any of thees steps you can move them in together
