How long does it take prozac to work?

I started prozac and klonipin again after a yr break from them. The first time I took it was back in 2006 and i was coming off paxil. I dont remember having side effects or it taking this long for the meds to work. I hate taken meds...i started waking up with my mind racing about a month ago and ask my doc what I should do. she put me back on prozac and klonopin. I was feeling good during the day. very normal...since i started the prozac i feel like im not here. i know what im doing but dont feel like it. its like a dream feeling and I feel blah. I told my doc and she said to give it 4 weeks....I dont know if I can make it 4 weeks...i started back on march 16...can anyone help and tell me if i should just drop it or wait it out. is there withdrawl if i opt out?
