I'm being made redundant in a month so need a new job. I'm 24 and have a full uk driving liscence. Is it possible for me to get the lessons, pass my test and be on the road in a month?
I booked a week off from my job did the course and passed the test the following Friday. Getting a job with no experience was the hard part. Best of luck if you do it.
no problem mate , first thing to do is find an lgv driving school and do an assessment drive , this should tell you how many days training you will need , you will also need to do an lgv theory test , dont be put off by experience or age or current climate , once you pass get yourself registered with loads of agencies and take any lgv jobs they offer you , its all experience for you , from multi drop to dustcarts to trunking . there will allways be a demand for drivers ,

yes its poss, you could do a 7 day intensive course with one of the schools, prob cost about £600."BUT" with lots of firms going under, I think there will be too many HGV drivers looking for work, also most firms require 2 years experience, (der).catch 22.Best rethink your options. good luck.
